Churchill
The Churchill tank was a heavy British infantry tank used during World War II. Introduced in 1941 and named after British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, it was known for its very thick armor and excellent ability to cross rough terrain, trenches, and obstacles. The tank was armed with various guns depending on the version and was designed to move with infantry during attacks. The Churchill became especially useful later in the war during battles in Normandy, and many special variants were created, including bridge-laying tanks and the flamethrower-equipped Churchill Crocodile. Its strong armor and adaptability made it one of Britain’s most important tanks of the war.
