Panther
The Panther (Panzerkampfwagen V) was a German medium tank used during World War II, designed to counter the Soviet T-34 and combine firepower, armor, and mobility. Introduced in 1943, it featured a powerful 75 mm high-velocity gun capable of penetrating most Allied tanks, sloped armor for enhanced protection, and a relatively fast and reliable engine. The Panther excelled in long-range engagements and defensive operations but was mechanically complex and prone to breakdowns early in its service. It became one of Germany’s most effective and feared tanks on both the Eastern and Western Fronts.
